Hi, I'm Ethan, and I started BoonPay because I got tired of not being able to find a straight answer.
Over the years I've owned and run several businesses. And every time I needed to make a decision, what card machine to use, which bank account made sense, how to stop overpaying on the bills that quietly eat your margin, I ran into the same wall. There was no single place to go for honest, plain-English answers. Just sales pitches dressed up as advice, comparison sites that pushed whoever paid them most, and providers who made their pricing deliberately hard to understand.
I spent years on the inside of the payments industry too, so I know exactly how that game is played. I've seen how the fees get buried, how the contracts get written, and how easy it is for a busy business owner to end up paying far more than they should simply because nobody ever explained it to them properly.
So I built the thing I wish I'd had.
